FAQ
What does ABL’s compensation system look like?
ABL provides our employees with many benefits (including excellent health insurance) and an attractive pay structure that combines a fixed salary, a variable component based on individual and collective performance, and profit-sharing bonuses.
What does ABL’s working environment look like?
We have made quality of life at work a priority by offering our employees flexible schedules based on a fixed daily rate. This encourages autonomy and supports work-life balance.
Our empowering and caring management model is horizontal, with a streamlined hierarchical structure that fosters quick and easy decision-making and encourages collaboration between departments. Initiative, autonomy, and versatility are critical to our organization.
Each year, we outline a QWL (Quality of Work Life) action plan to review and constantly improve our practices. Each site has a community of QWL ambassadors, the “Happy Committee,” to organize events and boost cohesion.
What are ABL’s commitments?
As a people-centered company, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We make sure to provide our employees with a caring and fulfilling work environment, regardless of their gender. This has led to an outstanding gender equality index of 99/100.
We help employees build their career path through individual development plans (training, internal development, and mobility within ABL and other Institut Mérieux entities, etc.).
In 2021, we had an internal mobility rate of 14%.
Lastly, we are proud to support causes we believe in: for example, we are a member of “Entreprise des Possibles,” a group of socially conscious companies through which our employees can volunteer during working hours or donate their paid leave.
